History:

This dance was created by the Merry Heymakers, late of Kansas City, who had learned our style at an ale. They wrote the dance, because they had difficulty interpreting the written description they were given for Uptown Froggy. Rather than struggle with someone else's choreography, they created a new and wonderful dance.

Note:

The verse figures are OY, FU, HG, WG, HR (not XT). The two half-rounds are both clockwise. Cross-and-turn is used in the chorus, not as a verse.

Distinctive Figure:

Face partners. Sidestep right, sidestep left, walk back two steps, and dance two plain capers forward, then Cross-and-turn. Do not repeat chorus between verses. End the dance all in.
